Job Summary Reporting to the Head of Rentals and Operations, this role plays a key part in ensuring our branch delivers safe, reliable, and well-presented vehicles for our guests. You’ll carry out minor repairs, basic maintenance tasks, vehicle cleaning and preparation, and provide general operational support across the branch. This position is ideal for someone practical, hands‑on, and eager to develop their skills in vehicle maintenance while helping to keep daily operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Work closely with the branch team and follow guidance from senior colleagues Carry out minor repairs (panels, trims, fittings, bulbs, wipers, simple component swaps) Support routine checks on tyres, fluids, batteries and general vehicle condition Help with vehicle cleaning and preparation during busy periods Record damage accurately and follow established repair processes Assist with audits, job clocking, and maintaining tidy, safe work areas Collect parts from suppliers and follow correct parts‑handling procedures Keep repair histories up to date in Motek (or similar systems) What you’ll contribute: A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn A commitment to safety and following HSW procedures Pride in presenting clean, safe, well‑maintained vehicles A team-first mindset and strong communication Safe work behaviours and proactive reporting of hazards or issues Person Specification This role is perfect for someone practical, reliable, and keen to build their maintenance and repair skills while supporting smooth day-to-day branch operations. Essential Full driving licence. Held for a minimum of 2 years. Practical, hands‑on approach with willingness to learn. Good attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Basic problem‑solving ability and attention to detail. Physically capable of performing manual tasks. Positive approach to customer service. Desirable Experience in a workshop, handyman, cleaning, or vehicle preparation environment. Basic mechanical knowledge or hobbyist experience. This role is 5 days/ 40 hour a week, Monday to Saturday. This is a full time, fixed term position which will come to an end 31st October 2026.
