We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Warranty Manager.
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven individual to take ownership of managing third-party agreements that support the delivery of our regional fleet maintenance and production activities. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of supplier management, ensuring quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness remain at the forefront of our operations. Working closely with internal stakeholders and key suppliers, you’ll drive contract performance, oversee warranty processes, and play a vital role in delivering financial efficiency and continuous improvement across our fleets.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery and protect EMR’s warranty position with its suppliers.
2. Manage materials warranty process including recording, dispatching, tracking and managing all warranty claims.
3. Drive improvement initiatives with suppliers and develop and maintain supplier performance reporting.
4. Lead robust materials warranty processes, ensuring all claims are tracked and KPIs delivered.
5. Manage and attend contract reviews with third-party maintenance customers and suppliers.
6. Support the development and renegotiation of contracts with suppliers
7. Liaise with production, planning and procurement teams to ensure priorities are established and communicated to and from the key suppliers.
8. Ensure warranty and third-party revenue streams are managed and budgets met.
9. Participate in technical investigations, KPI meetings, and implement improvement actions.
10. Identify and deliver efficiency opportunities in supply, logistics and revenue.
11. Provide subject matter expertise and build strong relationships with depot management teams.
12. Build effective supplier relationships to support EMR objectives.
13. Oversee material orders using existing IT systems.
What we are looking for:
14. A qualification in purchasing/supply (CIPS or working towards it) would be a bonus.
15. Strong experience managing materials, engineering activities, and revenue streams.
16. Confident with budgets, financial forecasting, and balancing multiple priorities.
17. A basic technical understanding of rolling stock systems and materials, with experience in investigations.
18. Skilled at working with senior stakeholders, including contract reviews and negotiations.
19. Good knowledge of safety and quality standards (e.g. COSHH, ISO9002, Health & Safety).
20. Commercially savvy with excellent contract management skills.
21. Clear and confident communicator, able to write reports and present business cases.
22. Team player with experience building partnerships and working collaboratively.
23. Practical problem-solver with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

This position is based in our Derby Head office, but we've adopted a flexible hybrid working model that creates the opportunity to work in your own way at home but also provides great spaces for in-person collaboration.
