Quality Team Leader
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Team Leader to oversee and support quality assurance operations across two production sites. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance with key standards, and fostering a strong food safety and quality culture.
Primary Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (exact times to be agreed with the Quality Manager) Note: Support shift cover may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead quality assurance activities across all stages of production.
* Act as the first point of contact for quality-related matters on the production floor.
* Promote and enforce high standards of hygiene and quality practices.
* Manage and maintain documentation for the Quality Management System (QMS).
* Conduct quality inspection rounds and analyse production samples against approved standards.
* Sample finished goods pallets in the warehouse when required.
* Support containment and sorting of faulty materials.
* Perform raw material testing and publish results.
* Conduct audits for Glass and Brittle Materials, GMP, and BBQ in line with BRC and ISO9001 standards.
* Raise and manage non-conformances and facilitate investigations using Root Cause and CAPA methodologies.
* Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues.
* Monitor performance and proactively plan tasks to meet customer expectations.
* Administer and execute daily Quality Assurance tasks (QTs).
* Carry out internal audits and support external audits and customer visits.
* Maintain GMP, G&P, and internal audit performance metrics.
* Perform additional duties as directed by the Quality Manager or Deputy.

Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in quality assurance.
* Experience in manufacturing (preferably food, print, or packaging) – desirable.
* Internal and/or external auditing experience – essential.
* Strong knowledge of BRC, ISO9001, PS9000, ISO45001, and ISO14001 – essential.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (Avante preferred; training provided).
* Full UK Driving Licence required.
