Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation
Senior Project Quantity Surveyor sought by leading project developer pioneering the delivery of Renewable Energy assets throughout the UK. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will support project delivery, taking responsibility from the project development team, supporting the closure of contracts and managing them through construction and handover to operations.
Projects include the UK’s largest Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. These projects involve high-value equipment, M&E, and civils activities.
The ideal candidate will oversee risk and value management, drive subcontractor performance, and manage quality. Experience in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal power, or large-scale Infrastructure (Data Centres, Civil Infra) is preferred.
Key requirements:
* Significant experience with various contract forms, especially NEC contracts (ECC Accredited Project Manager qualification is a plus)
* Experience in heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in a main/principal contractor setting (preferred)
* Experience managing contracts over £10m for principal contractors (desirable)
Key responsibilities:
* Lead change management, maintain effective change control, manage risk/early warning registers, and react proactively to variations
* Prepare enquiry documents, review work scopes, negotiate contracts, select contractors, and draft final order documentation
* Manage contractor accounts, assess and administer payments, and issue payment notices
* Address disallowed costs and oversee reporting activities, including cost plans and earned value analysis
* Provide commercial support and advice to site management
* Maintain professional relationships
