Job Title: Principal Electrical Power Engineer (Submarines) Location: Barrow, Filton (Hybrid On-site 2 days per fortnight) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Competitive What you ll be doing: Producing the Electrical Power System equipment and systems definition by undertaking functional design, deriving functional and non-functional requirements, defining spatial and operational needs, assessing safety impact and specifying Authoring and reviewing technical documentation Managing associated risks, assumptions and dependencies ensuring appropriate mitigation to deliver a coherent system definition Liaising with and providing advice on electrical power technical aspects to subject matter experts across a broad range of engineering disciplines Take a leading role by guiding more junior members of the team through the systems definition process Your skills and experience: Degree qualified (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent Engineering experience Engineering chartership required (or significant progress towards chartership can be demonstrated) Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power distribution systems and associated sub-system/components Experience of working in complex design programmes Ability to perform analysis using recognised analytical tools Proven experience of leading and coaching others Benefits: You ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
