Location: South East England
This is a permanent role for a Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor to join a major organisation in the South East. The solicitor will be part of an established in-house legal team handling nationally significant projects.
The role offers flexible working arrangements, with a requirement to attend the office at least once a week.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement across public and private sectors.
A strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, especially contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with legal and financial obligations, is essential.
Experience in construction law or public procurement is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities include:
* Advising on engineering and construction matters related to infrastructure projects
* Managing PFI contracts throughout their lifecycle
* Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
* Guiding on procurement regulations and policies
* Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious
