Job Summary
A respected Housing Association is looking for an experienced Fire Door Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be working on residential projects like student accommodations, care homes and domestic properties carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames.
The works will be based across East Anglia and will cover both internal and external door works. There will be aspects of the role where you will be working around members or the public, including but not exclusive to FED's, corridor doors, riser cupboards and access panels.
Responsibilities
* Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
* Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
* Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
* Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
* Liaise with customers and members of the general public

Requirements
* At least 3 years’ experience working with fire doors
* NVQ or equivalent in carpentry and joinery
* Must have experience in passive fire protection and strong knowledge of BM Trada / FIRAS standards
* Experience installing fire doors and frames, full sets and full assemblies
* Full UK driving license
* 3rd party accreditation/registration under the FIRAS scheme (desired)
* Surveying experience is desirable
