We are looking to recruit a Production Technician to support the manufacture and assembly of our world-class instrumentation.
As a Production Technician, you will play a key role within our production team, supporting the build and preparation of components and assemblies used in the manufacture of mass spectrometers.
You will be responsible for carrying out hands-on production tasks in a safe, organised, and efficient manner, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and preparing components prior to assembly
2. Constructing wiring looms and mechanical sub-assemblies to specification
3. Following standard operating procedures and engineering instructions
4. Completing tasks accurately and within agreed timescales
5. Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work area
6. Using tools and equipment correctly and reporting any issues promptly
7. Supporting continuous improvement within the production department
8. Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production schedules
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
9. Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
10. Ability to follow written instructions and technical documentation
11. Good manual dexterity
12. Strong time-management skills
13. Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Desirable:
14. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or assembly environment
15. Previous experience with electrical wiring or mechanical assembly
16. Familiarity with clean or controlled production environments
17. Understanding of quality standards and procedures
