Technical Support Officer - The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Officer to join Rushcliffe Borough Council, supporting day-to-day operations at the Streetwise depot in Bingham. This is a varied role which will support work schedules, health and safety, risk assessments, work packs, as well as car park operations and income monitoring.
You will be based at our Bingham depot and will work closely with your team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the Streetwise service to residents and partners by ensuring that resources, including staff (including agency supply) and vehicles, are available and fully utilised.
2. Help contribute to the growth of Streetwise by identifying new business opportunities and building on existing partnerships.
3. Liaise with Team Leaders and Coordinators to develop and review risk assessments across Streetwise functions.
4. Promote a positive health and safety culture across the service, embedding it in daily practices.
5. Participate in the Streetwise Management Team alongside the Streetwise Manager.
6. Conduct site visits to oversee work quality, compliance, and safety systems.
Person Specification:
* Experience in health and safety, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Experience in customer service, handling service requests, queries, and complaints.
* Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications, such as Health & Safety.
* Knowledge of health and safety principles within the specific work area, championing best practices.
* Competence in hazard identification and risk control.
* Understanding of data protection principles, including GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
