PR and Marketing Communications Manager A leading organisation based in Newtownabbey, are currently seeking a PR and Marketing Communications Manager to join their team. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position (with Hybrid Working). Working hours: 37.5 standard hours - including breaks (flexibility required). With a salary of £38,878 - £45,704 per annum (dependent on experience). Successful candidate will be subject to a Basic Access NI check. Job Role: You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of a full range of proactive public relations, public affairs, marketing and internal communication activities to support the delivery of the business strategic and corporate objectives, building and deepening knowledge of the organisations work amongst stakeholder groups across the island of Ireland. Essential Criteria: Possess a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a wide range of Communications/ PR/PA/MarComms activities. A degree in a relevant discipline e.g., Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Studies, or an equivalent level 6 qualification, as per the UK qualifications framework in a relevant discipline. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to tight deadlines. Excellent and demonstrable planning and project management skills. Full driving licence and access to own car, with appropriate business insurance, to include travel throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Build awareness of the company work in both jurisdictions: NI and ROI. To be proactive and innovative in identifying, organising and maximising PR opportunities. To be proactive in building case study content. Engage with the media and build relationships, acting as a point of contact for all external media enquiries. Manage the research and preparation of press releases/statements in line with agreed key messages and organisational objectives. Work with the Director of Communication, Engagement and Partnerships to identify profiling opportunities for the Strategic Leadership Team. Brief internal spokespeople on media opportunities and to prepare briefing notes on agreed activity. Manage Public Affairs work in both jurisdictions specifically around funding. Attend external committees and meetings in both jurisdictions as the representative of the business as and when required. Lead, manage and raise awareness of the wider news agenda/government and commissioner messaging via internal communication channels and work with services teams to build responses and deepen external comms and engagement. Monitor media activity and prepare media evaluation reports. Develop and maintain an effective national and regional media database and build contacts to secure coverage. Assist the Director of Communications, Engagement and Partnerships with crisis media management. Measure and evaluate all activity against agreed KPI's and reports. Develop Marketing and PR communications plans to support delivery of the business strategy.
