Overview
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for two Outstanding Non‑Executive Directors to join our Board. These directors will be accountable to the Council of Governors and the public, reporting to the Chair, and will provide constructive challenge, strategic oversight, and robust governance to shape our culture and hold the organisation to account.
Key roles
* Chair, Quality Committee: Registered Nurse with board‑level leadership experience, and deep expertise in quality, safety, and clinical governance.
* Non‑Executive Director, Digital Transformation: Transformational leader with deep knowledge of the digital agenda, capable of supporting and challenging the Board on the use of digital technologies such as our new Electronic Patient Record.
Responsibilities
* Provide constructive challenge and strategic oversight at board level.
* Ensure robust governance and accountability to the Council of Governors and the public.
* Shape the organisational culture and uphold the Trust’s values of Respect, Compassion, and Responsibility.
* For the Quality Committee Chair: deliver expertise in quality, safety, and clinical governance, including oversight of the CQC rating and improvement initiatives.
* For the Digital Transformation Director: lead digital agenda, evaluate and promote digital technologies, and support implementation of the Electronic Patient Record.
Qualifications
* Board‑level leadership experience (for both roles); for the Chair, experience as a registered nurse.
* Expertise in quality, safety, and clinical governance (Chair); in digital strategy and technology (Digital Transformation Director).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to the Trust’s values.
