Post Title: Paediatric Clinical Educator - Special School
Location: Headquarters, Inverness
Hours: 28.8 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term for 2 Years
Salary: £42,215 - £49,101 per annum (£52,769 - £61,377 pro rata)
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:
* To develop programmes of staff education to promote high quality evidence-based practice across community and school settings.
* Responsible for advising, teaching and demonstrating best practice to education staff in schools who support children and young people (CYP) with health care needs, ensuring safe delegation, competence, and adherence to clinical governance standards
* To strengthen NHS - Education partnerships and ensure that school- based health care needs is delivered safely within legislative and policy framework (e.g. Equality Act, Additional Support for Learning, data protection), Using Individual Health Care plans and proportional risk assessment.
* To facilitate the maintenance and development of clinical standards and the implementation of initiatives, research and audit and quality improvement across child health and school environments.
* To work collaboratively with Education Leads, NHSH Practice Development Nurses and key trainers to implement Core Mandatory Training programmes and skills updates within the local authority.

Requirements
Registered Children's Nurse
Professional knowledge and clinical expertise of paediatrics educated to SQCF level 11 or proven in depth knowledge, training and skills equivalent to required level of education.
This position is classified as a regulated role. As such, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history. Specifically, this check will be necessary if you do not meet both of the following criteria:
* You must be a national of the United Kingdom or one of the following countries: Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, or Poland.
* You must not have lived or worked in any country outside of the UK or those listed above for a period of three months or more, while aged 18 years or over, within the past five years.
