What you will do: * Engage with vulnerable children and young people, assessing their needs and delivering targeted interventions to effect positive change and manage risk. * Develop comprehensive plans and work collaboratively with partners to prevent children from entering the youth justice system or re-offending. * Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring all activities are in line with statutory guidelines and tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. * Prepare and present detailed reports in both written and verbal form, possibly within a court setting, maintaining high professional standards. * Handle out-of-court disposals and statutory court orders, ensuring compliance and support for all parties involved. * Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to implement a Child First Approach, aimed at nurturing the potential and unique strengths of each young person. The ideal candidate will have: * A graduate or equivalent professional qualification in fields such as criminal justice, social care, or probation. * At least two years of practical experience working with children and young people in or related to a youth justice setting. * A comprehensive understanding of the youth justice system and the multifaceted issues faced by young individuals. * Proven experience in managing a caseload with a focus on assessing risk, developing plans, and executing effective interventions. * Experience in preparing and delivering reports, ideally within a court environment. * A full driving licence and the readiness to travel as required within the role. * Enhanced DBS included.
