Estimator Job Description
Leeds
£40,000 depending on experience.
Estimator - Data/TV & Security
- Understand plans and requirements.
- Working with the team to design systems as required (Design & Build).
- Carry out initial analysis of projects.
- Estimating and calculating labour/work, materials/supplies.
- Review and analyse charged working hours to existing and completed jobs to ensure current/future performance and quoting standards are aligned.
- Prepare and manage quotations.
- Maintain and update quoting standards.
- Manage the revision of estimates with specifications changes etc.
- Help to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment to ensure compliance with applicable codes, law, working practices and health and safety
- Effectively liaise and communicate and maintain a good relationship with team members, contractors/suppliers and other stakeholders as required.
- Work with finance team to provide levels of procurement support.
- Attend meetings as and when required.
- Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team.
- Responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls.
Experience
- A strong estimating background.
- A good understanding of Security, Data Infrastructure & TV Systems.
- Proven ability to work as a team member and independently.
- Demonstrate deadline/time management and task management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills
