Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Therapies East
Are you a qualified or about-to-qualify Occupational Therapist looking for a supportive place to begin or grow your career? Or a Band 5 OT ready for a new challenge? This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with an interest in older adult rehabilitation to join a high‑quality ward therapy team, supporting patients to regain independence and return home safely. Based mainly at St Mark’s Hospital, Maidenhead, with some cross‑cover at Upton Hospital, Slough, you’ll join a close‑knit inpatient team of OTs, physios and therapy assistants. You’ll manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs and gain valuable experience in a dynamic MDT where learning and development are actively supported.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Assessing patients and creating personalised rehab plans
* Supporting or running groups such as falls prevention and exercise
* Working closely with patients, families and the wider MDT
* Supporting therapy assistants and supervising students
* Joining ward rounds, case conferences and discharge planning
Core Responsibilities
* Being responsible for your own caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient‑focused rehabilitative approach with support from senior therapists.
* Providing supervision and guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team and making recommendations to the wider MDT to support the education of students.
* Being involved in QI and contributing to the planning, development and evaluation of the service.
