Data Analyst / Report Writer • SQL and Excel
Location: Clacton-on-Sea (must drive, due to location)
Salary: Around 35,000 p.a. plus benefits
Responsibilities
* Own data for the company and act as the reporting expert in the team
* Support data requests from users and assist the sales team with data, insights and reporting needs
* Prepare the boards quarterly report and meeting packs with graphs, insights and information
* Maintain and enhance reporting solutions; respond to new requests and challenges as they arise
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure data accuracy and effective communication of insights
* Work with the department leads to take on reporting responsibility and develop subject matter expertise
Qualifications
* Strong Excel skills; Excel is considered a second language and a core tool
* Strong SQL skills (beyond joins and grouping) with an ability to refine and expand capabilities
* Proven experience in report writing and data investigation
* Enjoy working with people, solving problems, and supporting reporting needs
* Willingness to learn, grow, and progress to a broader SME role within two years
* On-site role in Clacton-on-Sea; ability to drive to the office
Team and Career
Work in a close-knit team of 6 with support from department leads. You will work most closely with Matt and James, taking reporting responsibility away from them while they remain available for guidance and support. Career progression is real, with potential internal promotion and SME development.
