What you'll do: Task Management - Conducts all required tasking within the MRO facility including but not limited to strip, survey, rebuild and product acceptance testing of new and used product. - Completes surveys and repairs to agreed practices - Applies quality principles and conforms to all regulatory procedures by adhering to defined processes, procedures and technical data. Autonomy - Is able to carry out assembly, strip, survey, rebuild and test of product (subject to training) without supervision. -Improvements - Works with team members to identify and drive both productivity and performance improvement opportunities - Has an understanding of/can implement lean manufacturing processes - Contributes to the continuous development of the environment, health and safety (EHS) requirements within the work area Personal development - Actively progresses personal development needs via the skills matrix to ensure task flexibility and capability coverage - Seeks to meet or exceed defined objectives and monitors progress through 1:1s and the interim and annual personal development reviews (PDRs) Communication - Participates in tier and team meetings to understand work scheduling, update targets, address key Issues and any receive key communications - Proactively address challenges and escalate issues accordingly Qualifications: - This role would ideally be suited to an experienced, time served aircraft fitter with a broad product knowledge and 10 years of experience - Alternatively, the ability to interpret technical data and a demonstratable understanding of fuel systems, mechanical systems and structural assemblies is required - Apprenticeship, HNC or similar qualification is desirable but not essential - Knowledge and/or experience of EASA/CAA pt145 is preferred Skills: - To attain approved operator stamp(s) with scope approval relevant to job role - Understanding lean methodology and principles - To complete tasks on-time and to the required standard - To minimise job card variances - To adhere to the EHS requirements and maintain the 5S principles of the area - To co-operate with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions The successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR controlled technology, goods, and information.
