Katie Bard are currently partnering with a leading professional services organisation to appoint a People Operations Team Leader into their People Services function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR services professional who enjoys leading teams, driving operational excellence and delivering a high-quality employee experience at pace.
As People Operations Team Leader, you will play a key role in driving service excellence and data accuracy within a high-volume HR operations environment. You’ll lead a small team of People Operations Administrators, ensuring cyclical activities are delivered on time, to a high standard, and with a strong customer focus.
You will work closely with the Emerging Talent team, managing relationships and expectations across trainee, apprentice, intern and vacation scheme populations, while acting as a role model for best-in-class People Services delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Line management of 2–4 People Operations Administrators, including coaching and development
* Collaborating with fellow Team Leaders across the People Services function
* Overseeing the internal ticketing system, ensuring priority queries are actioned promptly
* Delegating work effectively and supporting the team with prioritisation during peak periods
* Supporting BAU activity as required to maintain service levels
* Producing weekly operational reports for People Management and the wider business
* Ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for early careers populations
* Maintaining 100% data accuracy across HR systems
* Quality-checking team outputs and providing real-time, constructive feedback
* Upskilling the team to deliver a customer-centric HR service
* Managing escalations, investigations and complex queries
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience within an HR Services / People Operations function
* Proven people management or supervisory experience
* Strong knowledge of HR systems, policies and procedures
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work without compromising quality
* Ability to work at pace in a fast-moving, service-driven environment
* Highly organised, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English
* Proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge, improve processes and drive change
* Solutions-focused and able to think on your feet
