They have grown organically, thanks to the strength of their editorial output driving increased subscription revenue. As the Lead Data Journalist, you will work collaboratively with the editorial and data teams to produce weekly data insights, examining market trends and forecasts at both macro and micro levels. There are significant opportunities to develop as the business looks at both international expansion and broadening its coverage into M&A financing.We are looking for an experienced data journalist or analyst who can build insightful visualisations from internal and external data sources and write long-form analysis to position this news organisation as a thought-leader in M&A and debt financing.Key responsibilitiesTransform data points from an expansive internal database into a weekly visual analysisCollaborate with a team of experienced journalists to work on ad-hoc projects and to create data visualisations for stories across the deskWork closely with the Head of Data and broader data team, as they look to build a market-leading data serviceKey requirementsSignificant experience as a data journalist or analystAbility to independently build data visualisations using specialist softwareAbility to write compelling analysis on capital marketsSuccessful applicants will be contacted within one week of applying.
