Location: Dordon, Tamworth
Responsibilities
* Provide front-line support for controls system related issues.
* Use technical knowledge and communication skills to coach the Engineering team and improve diagnostic skills to identify controls issues.
* Work with PLC systems and control architectures to monitor and modify systems as needed.
What they need
* Excellent working knowledge of Control Systems
* Level 3 Engineering or equivalent
* Engineering Technician apprenticeship or experience
* PLC training or appropriate experience
* PLC and Controls & Electrical and / or mechanical skills, preferably gained in an FMCG background
Additional requirements
* Sound analytical skills, good problem solver
* Online code monitoring / modification / development with Siemens S7 300/400 PLCs
* Understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices
* Experience in Warehousing / distribution / logistics / airports / production lines
* Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; able to analyse and impart knowledge
* Computer literate in MS Office; ability to use a CMMS
* Physically able to carry out engineering activities within an automated warehouse
* English language ability to read safety information, technical manuals and data; communicate clearly with colleagues to enable a safe environment
