Overview
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is one of the largest and most modern NHS trusts in the UK, operating two sites – Royal Stoke University Hospital and the County Hospital in Stafford. We are looking for a consultant-level doctor to join our oncology and haematology team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive oncology and haematology services across the Trust, rotating between Royal Stoke University Hospital and the County Hospital.
* Collate and share duties and responsibilities with other middle-grade doctors, including patient assessment, treatment planning and clinical case discussion.
* Participate actively in audit, teaching, training and research activities within the field of oncology.
* Contribute to the development of a job plan in discussion with the successful candidate.
* Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training as part of the department’s educational commitments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Position is open to qualified consultant‑level doctors with a background in oncology or haematology, who are able to rotate between the two hospital sites and contribute to teaching, audit and research programs. Further specific criteria are provided in the attached detailed job description.
