We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This includes supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.
Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
Adapt resources and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
Support students with personal care and mobility needs, where required.
Promote independence, inclusion, and confidence in all learners.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure progress and wellbeing. About You:
Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (desirable).
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
