Finatal is partnering with a global investment platform focused on technology investing through direct investments, LP commitments, and backing emerging private equity managers across the US and Europe.
Part of a privately held international group, the platform is building a next-generation investment ecosystem from its London base. This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage as Head of Finance, taking ownership of the finance function and supporting the platform’s continued growth.
As the number one in finance the role combines financial control, FP&A, and strategic support across investments and portfolio activity.
Responsibilities:
* Lead financial reporting, management accounts, and group reporting
* Oversee fund accounting and investment valuations
* Manage day-to-day finance operations, including AP/AR, expenses, payroll, and VAT
* Coordinate year-end processes, statutory accounts, and tax with external advisors
* Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
* Support deal execution, including financial analysis and due diligence
* Develop investor reporting and support valuation frameworks
* Monitor portfolio performance and provide financial insights
* Drive improvements in processes, controls, and finance systems
* Support finance transformation and automation initiatives
Requirements:
* ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
* Background in accounting practice with strong technical grounding
* Experience in a fast-paced or growing business environment
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Commercial mindset and interest in investments
* Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment
* High integrity and attention to detail
* Right to work in the UK
