Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker Children
Location: Derby, UK
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £36,000 per annum + £6,000 for sleep ins
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Derby, UK. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and additional sleep-in allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential home, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
Develop and implement care plans for each child, in collaboration with other team members and external professionals
Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their personal, social, and educational development
Supervise and support a team of support workers, providing guidance, training, and feedback as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including incident reports and progress notes
Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible care for the children
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all timesRequirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in a residential setting
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent
Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and support a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of child development and safeguarding procedures
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and sleep-ins
