The shift pattern for this post is 5 over 7 days including weekends and public holidays and is fixed term for 12 months.
An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a Registered District Charge Nurse who possesses a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing to join the District Nursing Service with Renfrewshire HSPC. The post covers a wide geographic area.
This is a fixed term/secondment Band 6 post, the contracted hours are 37 hours per week.
The shift pattern for this post is 5 days over 7 including weekends and public holidays.
Although this post is full time, consideration will be given to part time applicants of job share.
Applicants to the post require to have significant nursing experience, demonstrable leadership, excellent communication skills and evidence of continuing development. The District Charge Nurse will be a caseload holder and be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of nursing care to patients. They will be required to lead, motivate and supervise staff within their team. As part of their responsibilities, they will participate in clinical audit and quality improvement. They must be passionate about a career in community services and be motivated to work autonomously within a dynamic environment as part of the wider HSCP.
As a member of the Primary Health Care Team and working collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leaders, the District Nurse will assist in the implementation of local and national strategies and will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential to this post.
