Group Purchasing Apprentice We have a great opportuntiy for a Purchasing Apprentie to join our team here at Vertu Motors. This is a full time role Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week based at our offices in Gateshead. As our Purchasing apprentice you will work closely with the dealerships and our utility consultants to ensure that utility and meter queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively. This will include: the analysis of utility-usage data advising the dealerships how to reduce their utility usage following-up with dealership management to ensure that savings/usage reductions are achieved Experience within utility management or Purchasing is not required and full training will be given. Experience with Microsoft Office is expected – specifically Word and Excel. Training/support is available to the successful applicant. You need to be tenacious in dealing with queries, see them through to resolution and ultimately provide an excellent level of service to the dealerships. You will also need to be able to display good communication and influencing skills, as part of this role will involve liaising with General Managers and Accountants of Vertu’s dealerships and influencing them to act regarding their utility usage. This role requires the successful candidate to have drive and commitment, as well as possessing excellent inter-personal skills, time management and organisational skills. There is also the opportunity to develop your career further within the Purchasing role.
