Job Title: Product Support Engineer
Location: Knowsley (Head Office), with UK and occasional overseas travel
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for problem-solving and technical excellence?
Join Clarke Energy as a Product Support Engineer and play a vital role in delivering expert technical support to our Service Department, ensuring the reliability and performance of our Jenbacher product range.
About The Role
Your mission is to provide high-quality technical support and root cause analysis for product issues, ensuring accurate reporting and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with the Service Department, attending sites when required, and using data-driven insights to deliver best practice solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Analysis
* Provide technical support to the Service Department under the supervision of the Product Support Manager.
* Investigate product issues using best engineering practice and root cause analysis techniques.
* Utilise service tools such as MyPlant, Salesforce, Power BI, and Jenbacher Dashboard for data collection and analysis.
* Deliver clear, concise, and accurate engineering reports.
* Support warranty and concession cases through to completion.
Continuous Improvement & Best Practice
* Recommend proactive maintenance strategies and improvements to service processes.
* Analyse and communicate Jenbacher fleet programmes.
* Maintain and manage the Service Bulletin library.
* Provide technical assistance to other internal functions as required.
Technical Skills
What We’re Looking For
* Engineering qualification(s), preferably mechanical bias.
* Strong knowledge of good engineering practice and root cause analysis.
* Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with Innio Jenbacher products.
* Advanced IT skills, including Excel, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Navision.
* Excellent report writing and data analysis skills.
Personal Attributes
* Professional, reliable, and results-oriented.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Able to work to tight deadlines and travel at short notice, including overseas.
* Proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering qualification(s), preferably mechanical bias.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience with Innio Jenbacher products.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
* Clean UK driving licence (Category B).
Desirable
* BEng (Hons) degree.
* Experience in a similar technical support role.
* Strong customer relationship experience.
