Job Responsibilities: The role involves but is not limited to:- Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications Machine wiring Panel building Set up of sensor equipment Power-On & debug exercises Proficient in redlining and revision control Validation and testing of electrical systems Full ownership of panel/cell safety sign-off documentation Create and maintain Product Bill of Materials Provide expert guidance as a point of technical escalation Anticipate, identify and solve problems both on-site and at customer sites Operate various tools and equipment including megger, genie lift, drill press, hydraulic bender Provide continuous guidance and training to Electrical Apprentices as assigned Perform office wiring and building maintenance as required Adhere to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Including, but not limited to: Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others; co-operating with Managers or any other person, to perform or comply with any requirement or duty imposed under a relevant statutory provision; To not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare. Any other duties as reasonably requested. Essential Experience: Recognized City & Guilds Electrical Installation qualification At least, minimum 2 years practical work experience post qualification Excellent knowledge of blue print reading and electrical schematics Extensive experience of wiring, trouble shooting and updating electrical systems on automated production lines Ability to take ownership of electrical systems, ensuring safety buy-off and any affiliated sign-off documentation Must be able to use hand tools (label printers, pipe benders, hydraulic knock-out, crimpers, and soldering iron) Strong numeric skills Desirable Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive tooling and integration Leadership experience, people management and supervision Previous Automotive T1 experience Proven ability and willingness to train and lead others Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
