About the Role
Based at ESPO's Grove Park facility in Leicester this role is an integral part of the ESPO IT Department's Application Support Team, providing technical support and leading high efficiency Applications Team. The IT Department help to keep the business performing at an optimal level in terms of systems, networks, hardware and cyber security services. The Application Support manager is responsible for managing the Application Support Team, providing leadership and quality assurance for the overall integrity of the team's outputs. Champion an innovative and a collaborative ethos that stimulates and enables the development of fit for purpose information and technology-based business solutions that are supportable and deliver the required benefits. Specialises in integrations between various systems, notably technical interactions between the corporate e-commerce website and the ERP. Supports and assist with delivery of other integrations include PunchOut options between customer systems and the ESPO website, and a variety of bespoke integrations between external parties, the website, WMS, and ERP systems. Participates and lead in IT or business driven projects, including technical solutions design and development. Ensure BAU support services relating to business applications. Assist with BAU systems administration of the ERP, associated databases, and related processes. Lead and support application development.
About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:
* A degree or achieved proficiency in SFIA skills at level 4 or be able to Demonstrable experience of assisting in developing, designing and delivering an effective Application Support service
* Proven substantial information and/or technology experience with evidence of operating at a senior level in a substantial IT department.
* Experience of working with a wide range of information services and technology vendors and proactively performance managing the associated contracts.
* Experience of developing technical documentation including solution specifications, work packages and information and technology roadmaps.
* Have a record of team management experience or ILM qualification.
* Stakeholder engagement and influencing at all levels within a large complex organisation.
* Experience of producing high-level designs for new solutions.
*
Knowledge of current legislative requirements, governance and relevant policies and procedures associated with the management of information and technology.
