An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cath Lab Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team as an expert clinical practitioner within our expanding Cardiology and Neurointervention department.
Overview
Working in partnership with stakeholders to ensure the Stroke Thrombectomy and Primary PCI services deliver evidence‑based care to our patients, and to collaborate with the Clinical Educators to take an active role in staff training and development. The post holder will also support the Clinical Service Manager, offering clinical leadership and assisting with some managerial tasks.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
Main Duties of the Job
* Will be based in the Cath Lab and will have on‑call responsibilities as part of the role.
* Will be an experienced scrub practitioner, with experience of Cardiology and Neurointervention procedures, working across sub‑specialities of Cardiac Intervention, Structural Heart Valve, Devices, EP and Neurointervention.
* Will be actively involved in the training and development of staff, service development and improvement, clinical research, and clinical audit benchmarking against national guidelines to ensure evidence‑based practice.
* Will support the Clinical Service Manager, offering clinical leadership and assisting with managerial tasks as delegated.
