I am seeking a highly experienced Architectural Lighting Designer for a 6,400 sq. ft. modern luxury residence currently under construction in Bay Harbor Islands, FL.
The project is in the mid-construction phase, and we need immediate assistance in finalizing the interior and exterior lighting design to ensure seamless architectural integration.
Key Challenges & Scope:
HVAC & Architectural Integration: We are utilizing Titus FlowTee/FlowBar "mud-in" linear slot diffusers. You will be responsible for coordinating the Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) with our Architect and Mechanical Engineer to ensure that the lighting layout works aesthetically and physically with the HVAC plenum boxes.
Automation Integration: The home will feature a full Lutron Homeworks system. You must have experience specifying fixtures and drivers that are fully compatible with Lutron dimming protocols.
Vendor Coordination: We have a preferred lighting vendor with an established product portfolio, but we are open to your professional suggestions for fixtures and apertures that best suit the architecture. You will be expected to work with our vendor's technical specifications and provide cut sheets for the "trimless" (mud-in) and "adjustable" fixtures selected.
Collaboration: You must be comfortable leading and attending Zoom coordination meetings with the homeowner, Architect, Interior Designer, and Home Automation/AV Contractor.
Deliverables: Final RCPs, Fixture Schedules, Clash Detection reports (lighting vs. vents/plumbing), and a Load Schedule for the Lutron vendor.
Requirements:
Proven portfolio of High-End Modern Residential projects.
Expertise in clash detection between architectural lighting and HVAC/Mechanical systems.
Deep knowledge of Lutron Homeworks and LED driver compatibility.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit (CAD files will be provided upon hiring).
Experience with "mud-in" (trimless) architectural details.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
