About the job Weâre on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join our Manchester office, specifically working with our prospective van retailers. Every customer is different, so no two conversations are the same. Youâll dig into their goals, listen to their challenges, and uncover what really drives their business. With data, insight, and a consultative approach, youâll recommend solutions that give them the edge. As well as identifying your own leads and prospects, our data and insights team will surface opportunity as part of your lead generation strategy. From outbound calls to building your own pipeline, youâll thrive on turning prospects into lasting partnerships. Itâs a role built on resilience, the ability to build rapport quickly, and an unwavering focus on putting the customer first. You might think being a van enthusiast is a must for this role, but thatâs not the case. If youâve got the drive to win new business and the curiosity to understand how to make our products work for our customers, this is your chance to shape the future of automotive retail. Whether you're a New Business, Sales Development, Commercial, Leads, or Recruitment Consultant; we'll equip you with the tools to have credible conversations. What we're looking for Proven success in acquiring new business to business (B2B) customers Experience using data and/or industry insight and be able to evidence where you have used this to influence customer decisions in the past Experience achieving commercial targets and KPIs A consultative sales approach, with the ability to understand a customersâ business to offer competitive solutions The ability to articulate a complex product offering and keep up to date with the competitor landscape Strong organisation and prioritisation skills Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills During our application process, you will be asked two questions to help us learn more about you and how you align with our values. These will be used as part of our selection criteria, to determine if we progress your application further. Benefits Weâre offering a salary of £32,000 â £45,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares. You'll have 28 days holiday per year, and that's in addition to bank holidays and half day closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve. Thatâs not all. You'll be enrolled in our pension scheme, where our standard contributions are 7% and employee contributions are 5%.
