At Cavendish Nuclear we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Compounds Project Assistant at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Compounds Project Assistant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. The role support the planning, execution and monitoring of the delivery and deployment of MEH offices and facilities.

Day-to-day, you'll assist the Compounds MEH Project Manager by coordinating project activities, managing project documentation, and ensuring project tasks are completed on time ands within scope.

1. Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and timelines
2. Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and aligned with project goals
3. Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager
4. Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports
6. Prepare regular status reports and update project stakeholders on progress
7. Serve as a point of contact for project team members, stakeholders, and external partners

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.

Essential experience of the Compounds Project Assistant

8. Experience with maintenance and preparation of documentation and reporting
9. Experience with Communication and Stakeholder Management

Qualifications for the Compounds Project Assistant

10. Level-3 qualification in Engineering, Business or Project related subject
11. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is desirable

Security Clearance
