Part time, Facilities Assistant / Maintenance Assistant required, for a Poole based organisation Please note that you will need to have a Full Drivers licence, as you may be required to work between 2 different sites on occasion (both in the Poole area) This is a permanent, part time position and our client is looking for a Facilities / maintenance person who can start as soon as possible. FACILITIES / MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work closely with the Facilities Manager to complete general maintenance duties across both the office, and warehouse locations. - Painting and decorating and basic DIY duties - Get involved in project work - site improvements, gardening etc - Liaise with contractors onsite as and when required - Light Administration tasks - logging invoices, updating works records etc. (training on systems will be provided) Our client is looking for a committed individual who can work 3 full days per week (ideally) on a long term basis. This is a permanent position, with a competitive annual salary and really great benefits! PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED: - Previous experience of working in a similar, hands on position - Handyman, facilities, maintenance etc. - Physically fit and relatively strong - you will need to be able to climb up and down ladders, take delivery of goods, and be fit and able to do hands on tasks like painting, decorating, some gardening etc. - Ability to work independently/unsupervised - whilst you will be working in a small team, you will often be left to manage your own workload. - Previous experience of working with tools and equipment or, previous trade experience would be ideal but not essential (IE: basic electrics / carpentry / plumbing experience) - Full Drivers licence is essential as you will travel between sites, as required - Basic Health & Safety (H&S) training in-line with trade related work would be ideal. Our client is offering a salary of between £31,000 - £34,000 (Pro rata) along with an annual company bonus, free parking on site, and a host of other generous benefits.
