Overall aim of the role: Our out of this world, Celestial Floatation room boasts a Celestial floatation pool and four individual floatation pools, in which the highly mineralized warm spring water is enriched with 21 essential minerals, which can relieve joint pain, calm the nerves and aid the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins from the body. Nutrient absorption through the skin reduces conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. In the Celestial Flotation pool, customers are invited to lie back and gaze up at the sparkling starlit sky. This experience allows the body to float freely and leaves customers feeling completely weightless. As an Assistant Manager you will play a critical leadership role in supporting daily running of the Celestial Floatation Pool, Hydro Massage Beds and the Mud Rasul Treatments, while developing team members to perform at their best. This position focuses on coaching, mentoring, and ensuring the team consistently meets performance, service, and operational standards. Responsible for the management of the Floatation Therapists ensuring the recruitment, training and development needs are met. You must have a flexible approach to hours of work (which will include evenings, bank holidays and every other weekend, on a 4 week rolling rota) and will share our pride and passion for our amazing facilities. What you ll do: Key responsibilities of this role will include: Manage the daily operations and ensuring smooth workflow within the department. Lead by example, modelling professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic. Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve performance and engagement. Assist with onboarding, training programs, and ongoing development initiatives. Provide regular feedback and performance coaching, including recognition and corrective guidance. Work closely with senior members of the team to assess each staff member s progress and individual needs and address any concerns. Foster a positive and high-performing team promoting a customer-focused culture across the team. Assist with scheduling, staffing, and workload planning. Address employee concerns promptly and professionally. Hold regular team meetings and proactively contribute to department meetings. Responsible for monthly department commission structure and incentives. Put forward innovative ideas to drive bookings and retail sales. Oversee the professional stock orders, checking to see if the ordered quantity is suitable and address overspend to meet monthly budgets. Promote a positive health and safety culture across the team through leadership and example. Ensure regular health and safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments are carried out. Work as part of the Treatment Management Team to support with the day to day running of the overall treatment department including the therapy and retail teams. Work with the Treatment Department Manager to develop yearly sales and marketing plans to ensure maximum revenue and profitability.
