Your new company A well-established and innovative organisation are now looking to recruit a Corporate Counsel to assist them with their Group Corporate functions. The business is a respected brand and in a slowly transformative phase of its growth. Your new role This position will be a long-term contract role, so please only apply if you are available to start within a maximum of 6 weeks, ideally sooner. You will be reporting to the General Counsel and working with some impressive individuals in this role, as well as getting exposure to some very interesting and high-profile work. It will be of a generalist nature with a corporate focus, including but not limited to, M&A, reorganisations, company secretarial, general corporate, commercial, as well as other work you would expect to come in within a mid-sized in-house function for a large organisation. You will be working internationally (although not expected to travel), so you will have exposure to many different jurisdictions, predominantly from a corporate perspective. As the role is a contract role, you will not be expected to be heavily strategic, but you will be expected to step up where needed and be very innovative/ think on your feet within a fast-paced environment. The team is friendly, high performing and extremely likeable. What you'll need to succeed You will need to be England and Wales or Commonwealth qualified, with 2-6 years PQE (guideline only). Corporate Lawyers from private practice and in-house will be considered for this role, so if you are a private practice individual looking for a move in-house, please do apply. You will have the ability to pick up a generalist position, with a focus on corporate, you will have support within the role, both more junior and senior.
