Maximising Independence - Support Workers An exciting opportunity is available to grab one of five support worker roles available. Would you like to innovate, work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and work closely with people who have mental health problems who are supported by adult social care? Your role will be to help people practically to become more independent by (re)gaining abilities and skills, such as budgeting, dealing with benefits, repairing family ties, re-connecting to their community, learning to look after their home, use more technology, and learn to keep themselves safe. You will work with people to r efresh their outlook and expectations, enabling people to take advantage of opportunities to grow and develop their lives. You will work as part of a wider team of experienced social workers, occupational therapist, and dedicated business support. As part of this multi-disciplinary team you would work with : young people moving from children's services into adulthood, people in residential placements who could take advantage of supported living opportunities, and supporting people in supported living settings to move to private tenancies with the right care and support arrangements. If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
