The Value Stream Leader (VSL) directly leads the production personnel to control quality, cost and delivery within their production area. A VSL is a person that is responsible for increasing the ratio of value add to effort, and eliminating waste in the process, for a defined production area; and for ensuring that the value stream meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Plan, coordinate, motivate and develop the team to drive operational excellence;

Act as a coach/mentor for direct reports and develop talent aligned to the Business Strategy;

Nurture a high:performance culture throughout the workforce, dedicated to achieving stretched results;

Maintain and improve Environment, Health and Safety standards throughout the yard,warehouseand material handling area;

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar position

Experience of working within a continuous improvement/ lean manufacturing environment

Previoussupervisory experience, witha track recordof having developed a multi:skilled warehouse and material handling team.

Ability to deal with people at all levels. (shop floor : senior management)

The VSL must be able to step back and view the value stream from a broad perspective.
