About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Driver/Yard Operative to join our national client's team on a temporary basis in Poole, Dorset. This is a hands-on role, supporting operations by driving a 3.5t van, assisting with the efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, and carrying out general yard duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Driving a 3.5t van to support deliveries and collections as required
Assisting drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles
Organising and maintaining stock within the yard
Ensuring the yard is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Carrying out manual handling tasks in line with health and safety procedures
Supporting general yard operations, including preparing materials for dispatch
Requirements
A valid UK driving licence, with experience driving a 3.5t van preferred
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, as a driver's mate, or similar environment is desirable but not essential
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to carry out physical/manual work
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
Ability to work well as part of a team
