The Role: What You’ll Do Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services Mentor and co-lead a talented team of accountants, supporting their growth and performance Drive business development, identifying opportunities for firm-wide growth and cross-referrals Work closely with Directors and Partners to help shape the firm’s future direction Ensure compliance and exceptional client service across all engagements What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience ACA or ACCA qualified (minimum 3 years’ UK practice experience, PQE) Experience as a Senior Accountant, Manager, Senior Manager, or salaried Associate in practice Proven ability to manage your own workload and support team development Demonstrated ambition for leadership and long-term career progression Strong IT skills (Office 365, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) Expertise with accounts preparation software (preferably IRIS and MyWorkpapers) Track record of managing mixed client portfolios and driving business development Previous experience in a client-facing role, including meetings with new prospects Key Attributes Proactive, organised, and forward-thinking Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, confident, and ambitious Benefits & Rewards Salary up to £50,000 (dependent on experience) Full study support (e.g., CTA/ACCA) 37.5-hour work week with flexible core hours (10:30am–4:00pm) 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays Annual Leave Purchase Scheme (buy up to 5 extra days) Health cash plan & life assurance (4x salary) 1 day paid volunteering per year Payment of professional memberships Cycle to work scheme Staff incentives, commission-based referral scheme Pay day lunch & dress down days Staff discount scheme on Wills, LPAs, and mortgage fees Free eye tests and fruit in the office Regular staff socials, annual summer and Christmas parties Progression & Working Arrangements Location: Barnsley – modern office with free/street parking Flexible/Hybrid working options available Structured development plan and mentorship for career advancement Ready to Take the Next Step?
