Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Operate as a standalone shift engineer within the factory environment. Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of food production machinery and equipment. Proactively identify potential faults and implement preventative measures to reduce downtime and enhance productivity. Respond quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns or technical issues during production hours. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic testing to accurately locate and resolve equipment faults. Work closely with production teams to create and manage maintenance schedules that minimize disruption to operations. Oversee and monitor equipment performance to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance documentation, including logs, reports, and records. Adhere to all food safety regulations and ensure compliance throughout maintenance activities. Ensure all engineering contractors working on-site follow health & safety, food safety, and site-specific rules. Skills & Experience Required: Demonstrable experience as a Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias Strong technical expertise in machinery and equipment typically used in a FMCG industry Ability to effectively diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Competent in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving ability and capable of working under pressure to manage urgent breakdowns. Clear and confident communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical details effectively. Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all maintenance activities.
