Power Systems Studies Engineer
Location: Leatherhead
Contract: 12 Month renewable - Outside IR35
Project: Onshore & Offshore
Account Manager: Anthony Hughes
We are seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer focused on supporting onshore and offshore projects. These include local power generation, renewable energy systems (including BESS), and grid connections up to 220kV.
It’s a hybrid position based in Leatherhead on a 12 months renewable contract that is outside IR35, but we can also cater for employed options.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
* Perform equipment sizing and oversee third-party vendors conducting EMT studies.
* Use ETAP software for all power system simulations and analysis.
What we\'re looking for
* Experience with power system studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, etc.)
* Knowledge of grid connections up to 220kV and BESS
* Familiarity with arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination
* Proficiency in ETAP and EMT software
