The Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our Northwest team. If you are enthusiastic, committed, and appreciate the vital role of foster parents, we want to hear from you!
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
* Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in decision-making processes.
* Engaging in recruitment, training, and ongoing support for foster parents.
Requirements
* Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
* Experience in fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
* A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
* Willingness to participate in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will work 37 hours per week in a supportive and dynamic environment located in the Northwest. The role may require occasional work after 5 PM and on weekends.
