ER (Employee Relations) Manager – Function: HR – Location: Peterborough
We’re building high‑performing teams with an ambitious culture. As an ER Manager, you will embed our values, behaviours, and culture through the management and effective resolution of ER cases.
Responsibilities:
* Use a hands‑on case management approach to oversee low and high‑risk ER cases, ensuring timely progress and risk is managed within appetite.
* Work with the Head of HR Operations and Senior HR Business Partners to deliver ER ways of working, Organisational Design and Change projects and lead HR change conversations.
* Drive workplace conflict resolution, ensuring fair treatment and fostering positive relationships.
* Consult with external legal advisors on Employment Tribunal cases and manage risk effectively.
* Upskill manager capability through coaching and training on ER topics such as disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence and employment law.
* Maintain relationships with colleagues, people managers and senior stakeholders, offering proactive support and guidance on ER matters.
Qualifications:
* Significant experience managing ER cases and change projects (grievance, disciplinary, capability, performance management) in Financial Services or Tech industries.
* Ability to deliver at pace in a commercial, high‑performance culture.
* Expert knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with strong attention to detail.
* Persuasive communication skills, with the ability to advise, coach, influence, and build credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Senior Leadership.
