Are you looking for an opportunity to progress in store management? We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our fashion store team in Portsmouth.

This position is for 21 hours per week. Candidates must be fully flexible to work any 3 days per week from Monday to Saturday.


Responsibilities

* Support the Store Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence.
* Inspire and support staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey that reflects our values.
* Ensure highest standard of customer service.
* Achieve sales and target goals.
* Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising.
* Maximise sales through physical and digital channels.
* Support the recruitment and development of volunteers.
* Achieve expectations within campaign activities.
* Work with the manager to generate stock.
* Adapt to a fast‑paced, 7‑day‑a‑week trading environment, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
* Handle the physical demands related to collections, deliveries and donations.


Qualifications

* Experience in a customer‑facing role.
* Supervisory experience.
* Commercially driven to encourage new ideas.
* Inclusive approach to developing teams.
* Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving the highest retail standards.
* Results driven with an emphasis on achieving the right result the right way.
