Description ABOUT THE ROLE As an Endpoint Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering secure, modern, and reliable endpoint services across the University. You’ll lead on the deployment and management of devices and applications, supporting a wide range of platforms including Windows, Apple, Linux, and mobile. The role involves designing and implementing effective solutions, deploying operating systems and software using tools such as SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, and Azure, and ensuring services meet the needs of students and colleagues. You’ll also contribute to evaluating and adopting new technologies, supporting the University’s teaching, research, and digital innovation. Further information is available in the job description. ABOUT THE TEAM You’ll be joining our Endpoint Engineering team, part of the University’s IT Infrastructure Service. We provide modern, secure, and reliable endpoint services for students and colleagues, supporting teaching, research, and innovation. Working alongside experts in servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms, and databases, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering excellent customer service. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience in endpoint management using tools such as SCCM, Intune, Azure, and O365. Strong technical knowledge across Windows, Apple, Linux, Android, and iOS platforms. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues at 3rd line level. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver projects independently. Further information is available in the person specification.
