Title: Impact Manager

Reports to: Senior Programme Design Manager

Direct Reports: None

Key Relationships: Programme teams, Data, Design and Partnerships teams

Contract type: 12 Month Fixed-Term contract

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday- Friday (Part time 4 days per week 30 hrs considered)

Location: Contractually based from our Liverpool office, with some flexibility to

work from home, subject to business requirements and line manager approval. Regular travel to our programmes in North Birkenhead and Blackpool, as well as occasional travel to other programme areas

Salary: Grade 2 £40,736 - £44,056 (5% pension, Medicash and group life assurance, 27 days annual leave per annum for FTE)

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive self starter with excellent analytical, communication & project management skills to join on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Senior Programme Design Manager, the Impact Manager will take a leading role in evaluating the impact of our longstanding work. Working closely with local programme teams and stakeholders, you will collate, analyse and present qualitative and quantitative data to measure the success of activities across the two areas, using this insight to develop Right to Succeeds approach to internal and external programme evaluation and impact measurement.

Key Objectives;

* Lead on the collection, analysis and interpretation of impact data for our programmes with a particular focus on North Birkenhead Cradle to Career, demonstrating impact across activities, workstreams and collectively across the programme
* Engage and support programme stakeholders with understanding impact, completing partnership evaluation activities
* Embed key findings and approaches from the evaluation of North Birkenhead into other Cradle to Career programmes across the Liverpool City Region
* Utilise learning from the impact evaluation in North Birkenhead to enhance Right to Succeeds policies, processes and tools

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate impact of the North Birkenhead Cradle to Career programme

* Collate, analyse and interpret available data to evaluate the impact of the entire Cradle to Career programme in North Birkenhead, incorporating activities such as the Multi-Disciplinary Team, Education and Community workstreams
* Complete an economic evaluation of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in North Birkenhead
* Work with stakeholders to evaluate impact and create documentation to be given to partners to evidence their journey working with North Birkenhead Cradle to Career
* Work with internal teams to develop a platform of shared resources for North Birkenhead partners
* Provide support to stakeholders once Right to Succeed are no longer acting as the programme backbone
* Inform external partners on the development of social network analysis

Support the development of internal policies, processes and tools

* Utilise learning from the impact evaluation in North Birkenhead to;
* Develop Right to Succeeds approach to evaluating Multi-Disciplinary Teams
* Enhance our internal and external evaluation methodology for all programmes across Right to Succeed
* Feed into decision making on our approach to economic evaluation
* Support the development of a sustainability success framework in areas where Right to Succeed no longer provide backbone support
* Work in collaboration with Data & Design colleagues to develop our approach to impact measurement

Person Specification

Experience required (essential)

* Managing multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
* Processing, analysing and presenting data from a range of sources, including public or third sector services
* Ability to analyse and evaluate large volumes of quantitative and qualitative data
* Ability to clearly present data and communicate impact
* Turning data into insight
* Researching and accessing data from open / public sources
* Building effective, mutually beneficial relationships
* Community engagement / consultation
* Measuring economic impact
* Ability to anticipate potential risks, identify solutions, and navigate challenges within partnerships

Experience required (desirable)

* Building dashboards and resources using data visualisation, such as PowerBI
* Knowledge of collective impact and place-based change
* Working on place base change projects / initiatives
* Stakeholder network analysis

Skills & Personal Qualities (essential)

* Proven organisational, prioritisation, planning and project management skills
* Excellent relationship management skills and ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
* Ability to explain insights in a clear, visual way to non-experts
* Ability to identify and mitigate risks
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks without close supervision
* Proactive in approach, thinks ahead and takes initiative
* Adaptive to changing deadlines and challenges as they arise
* Ability to think creatively and problem solve using data; strong critical reasoning skills
* Ability to work well with other teams in a small organisation
* Confidence to communicate well with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
* Commitment to RtS values and our mission for children and young people
