Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established organisation in Bristol to recruit a Service Charge Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to lead a team and make a tangible impact.
The Role
As a Service Charge Accountant, you will oversee high-quality service charge accounting and reporting, ensuring your team delivers efficient, accurate, and client-focused work. You will be a key point of contact for both your team and clients, while also contributing to business development initiatives.
Your responsibilities as the Service Charge Accountant will include:
* Lead and manage a dedicated team, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and meets quality standards and KPIs.
* Oversee independent reviews of service charge expenditure and related financial reporting.
* Function as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and resolving challenges.
* Report directly to the Director and Partner team on team performance and client matters.
* Support and drive business development by identifying opportunities to expand services.
* Maintain and improve processes to ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
To succeed as Service Charge Accountant, you will have/be:
* ACA, ACCA qualified, or equivalent with experience in service charge accounting.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Experience of managing junior staff.
