Required as soon as possible Reference: 0792 Ipswich Borough Council have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and expanding Parking Services Team. We are currently recruiting 2 Civil Enforcement Officers who will play a key role in supporting a safer, more accessible town by ensuring parking regulations are upheld. Your work will directly contribute to reducing congestion and creating a welcoming environment for residents, businesses, and visitors. The role – what you’ll be doing As a Civil Enforcement Officer, your primary responsibility will be to enforce parking regulations through the fair and consistent issuing of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs). You will work across a range of locations including: restricted parking areas council car parks on street pay and display bays resident parking zones. The role will also involve vehicle immobilisation and removal when necessary. This is an active, outdoor role where you will patrol on foot and by using a company vehicle. You’ll work in all weather conditions across a variety of environments, and the role includes elements of manual handling and physical activity. You’ll follow a 3-week shift rota, covering operational hours which include evenings and weekends. A standard DBS check is required for this position.
