Fremantle College is seeking a dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Media Teacher to join our innovative team.
The successful applicant will ideally have experience in the delivery of Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA), WA Certificate of Education (WACE) courses and Western Australian Curriculum to help our students achieve outstanding results. The ability to teach and have experience in the delivery of Senior School Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) ICT would be highly regarded would be advantageous but not essential.
Fremantle College’s Approved Specialist ICT Program offers students a specially designed curriculum for the 21st century learner. Drawing upon the principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning our students solve real-world issues through exploration and investigation.
Our Media students are provided with opportunities to explore how media texts are constructed in ways which will impact particular audiences in particular contexts. They learn to think critically about the media texts they read and view, as well as creating their own. Students develop and refine their skills and processes for problem-solving, working as a team, following timelines and using processes and strategies to ensure safe and responsible use of media equipment.
The successful applicant will ideally have the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum within the school context.
